Aesiq Launches Online Chess
Enterprise solution provider, Aesiq, completes online Java™ chess client for the GamesParlor gaming platform and US Chess Live service. The chess client is the first in a number of e-commerce projects for the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania firm of GamesParlor, Inc.
"This new application has greatly increased the number of people able to access the GamesParlor platform," says Robert Jacobi, President of Aesiq. "More than that," he adds, "this new technology allows users to immediately begin playing rather than sit through lengthy downloads and makes the technology available to other platforms like MacOS and Linux."
"We are immensely pleased with the success of the chess client and the increase it brings to our service offerings," said Joel Berez, CEO of GamesParlor. "Aesiq created a tremendous tool for us and our customers."
The online application (Java client) is available through www.uschesslive.org. The application provides gaming, chat and message boards. US Chess Live, a United States Chess Federation service, is the first to take advantage of the GamesParlor gaming platform and Java chess client.
